Strategies

Several strategies can be summarized for those

events beyond your control.

  1. Accept and experience your feelings.

  2. Seek out help and support from family and friends.

  3. Seek out professional or peer group help.

  4. Emphasize physical and nutritional health.

  5. After a distressful event, be patient and allow time to recover.

  6. Plan at least 3 mini-relaxation breaks during the day.

  7. Identify and revise short and long-term goals.

  8. Plan and experiment with new life patterns and behaviors.

  9. Be compassionate towards others and gentle with yourself.

Remember part of the challenge of life is living - not problem free but amid problems with grace.

  10. Take time to enjoy a good laugh.
