D.I.Y. HOME INVENTORY

HARK! YOU HAVE AN INSURANCE CLAIM

NOW WHAT?

Some folks get gored.

The Great Texas Bull Durham Insurance Company  in process of settling claims.

Claims derived from one of the above disasters.

It usually starts something like this ...

 Your Insurance Company thinks
you had just a ....

10" Tiny TV

 You actually owned this ...

30" Flat Screen TV

But, you sort of remember it as this ...

72" Break-the-Bank Plasma TV

Pretty much sums it up, doesn't it?

Well, not quite.

Let's look at the real cost of not having an inventory

We're going to assume that the reason you bought insurance was just-in-case you suffer a serious loss.

You've already paid premiums for the protection and that's what economists call "sunk costs". The money is gone forever. Especially, if you never have a claim.

It's the Cost of Living.

IF you have a claim, it leads to this stark and sobering question;

"What am I gonna get for all the money I've spent?"

This is the moment when "Magical Thinking" (Psychologist Talk for thinking that's disconnected from reality) often visits heavily upon the naive.

Some folks think an insurance adjuster is going to pirouette across their lawn imitating Tinkerbell. You know, that little fairy who spreads Magic Dust.

Of course, the idea is the Adjuster's Magic Dust will cause the insurance company to wire funds overnight and arrive just in time to write checks tomorrow.

And, for HOW MUCH, they believe?

Why, why, for the amount they
REMEMBER
their stuff is worth, of course.

All without one shred of evidence of exactly what those folks owned and lost.

Once more, review the TV Drama above. Size matters a lot to an insurance company.

Here's what your Home Inventory will do for you!

1. Lets your insurance company know you're more than serious.

If you have a claim their lawyers will quickly recognize you are someone ready to demand a FAIR settlement.

Fight them in the first ditch, not the last.

2.  Lets you prove "casualty losses" not covered by your insurance.

Your losses will be documented for your IRS "casualty" deduction.

(The IRS will want PROOF.)

BE THE BULL!

PROVE you own what you say you own.

Ever notice that Bulls seldom get gored?

3.  Provides outstanding support.

Support for your attorney, C.P.A., and financial advisors to create Wills, Trusts, Asset Protection, and Asset Distribution strategies.

Having a detailed inventory helps them immensely. To say nothing of reducing the cost of their services.

You can be at ease knowing the sentimental things in your life will go to those you love and cherish.

Not to someone chosen by outsiders, courts, or bureaucrats.

4.  Gives you PEACE-OF-MIND.

Try to think of ONE intelligent reason NOT to have an inventory.
Guess who benefits if you continue to procrastinate.

"Why would you ever let your insurance company keep

any money that may be rightfully yours?"

"Fight 'em in the FIRST ditch, not the last."

PROVE you own what you say you own!

We used to be a professional Home Inventory company.

Here is the MIND MAP on how to DO IT YOURSELF.

Years of experience --- everything we learned --- is now yours.

For FREE.

Now, If you don't want to bother doing an inventory ....
all that's left to do is succumb to the Vapors and .....

F A I N T  while the Adjuster makes his rounds.

For Baby Boomers and younger,
this is a Fainting Couch.

When you get the settlement offer you may think they want to relocate you here.
